Buoy, Buoyancy, Light Buoy, Mooring Buoy


  

Marine buoys are designed to offer a low-maintenance and high visibility solution to marine navigation. A buoy / buoyancy is a floating device that available in a wide range of configurations and size. Buoy can have many different purposes. It can be anchored (stationary) or allowed to drift. Light buoy and mooring buoy are some of buoy examples.

  • High visibility color of buoy such as red, green, yellow or white is made as per IALA recommendations.

To tie ships or boats   

Mooring buoys use one end of a mooring cable or chain on the water’s surface to tie ships or boats.

Navigate boats and ships safely 

Buoy as sea mark, will help boats and ships to navigate safely by providing mark on maritime channel, hazard, and administrative area.

Buoys for communication 

As submarine communication buoys, it is used for release in case of emergencies or for communication

Buoy to mark a wrecked ship 

Wreck buoy - a buoy to mark a wrecked ship to warn other ships to keep away because of unseen hazards.

Buoy to provide buoyancy 

A life saving buoy (lifebuoy) will provide buoyancy when it is thrown to a person in the water, then the rescuer can the connecting line.
